Moncler may be best known for its puffer jacket, which has become a wintertime staple for many of us, but soon you may be wearing the Italian luxury brand’s pieces out in sunny weather too.
That’s the message of Moncler’s new Have a Puffy Summer campaign featuring Jamie Dornan, the star of Fifty Shades of Grey, The Tourist, and this brilliant SNL UK skit.
In the campaign, Dornan makes quite a convincing case for layering in the summertime as he sports the lightweight pieces from Moncler’s Summer 2026 collection. In one shot, the British actor playfully pairs a bright red quilted down gilet with a sheer nylon shirt jacket. In another, he adds a preppy twist to Moncler’s technical pieces, wearing a striped poplin shirt jacket over a denim gilet and a blue striped cotton shirt. The finishing touch? A bucket hat (covered in stripes, of course).

“There’s something really interesting about taking what Moncler’s known for and shifting it into summer,” said Dornan in a statement. “You still get that sense of warmth and puffiness, just in a lighter, more relaxed way. The whole campaign has this real sense of joy and playfulness.”
Indeed, Moncler has translated that sense of ease and lightness across its offerings for both men and women this season. For both, you’ll find an array of nylon windbreakers and jackets in bright hues like yellow and pink. For the lads, those outerwear pieces can be styled with bowling shirts, polo tees and relaxed swim shorts.

Moncler’s jackets and parkas for women come with fun, couture-like flourishes. Consider the dramatic but breezy white cape cut from taffeta, or the jacket with puffy sleeves, a hood, and a big bow tied on the front. You can also achieve an hourglass silhouette with the belted poplin dress or the technical twill jacket cinched with a drawstring detail (in other words: your waist can look snatched).
In keeping with the summery vibes, tropical flowers also figure into the women’s collection, via an embroidered hooded jacket and pastel-hued floral chiné shorts.
In Singapore, where the weather has been pretty bipolar—think rainy one moment, and unbearably sunny the next—you’ll get plenty of wear from Moncler’s Nidge jacket. It’s crafted from water-repellent nylon, so it can see you through all those unpredictable weather changes. Little, nautical details like the stripes around the zipper and the hood’s drawstring fastening also distinguish the jacket from everyone else’s outerwear pieces, which is always a plus.

Moncler’s Have a Puffy Summer campaign stars not only Dornan but also a bunch of playful, puffy animal sculptures—think an octopus, a lobster, a crab, and even a flamingo. Those inflatable animals, which reflect the colours of Moncler’s Summer 2026 collection, are the work of set designer Andy Hillman (he’s worked with Chanel, Loewe and Calvin Klein, to name a few). As mascots of Moncler’s new campaign, they’ll be featured at the Italian brand’s pop-up for Milan Design Week in April, and later at installations in Seoul, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Paris and Miami.
No word yet on whether those colourful animals will eventually be released for sale (they’ll make the perfect pool toys, if you ask us), but you can shop the Moncler Summer 2026 collection now at Moncler stores and on moncler.com.
