Saint Patrick’s Day marks the death of the patron saint of Ireland, which the world has decided to celebrate by downing copious amounts of alcohol. Partake in the festivities with this guide on where to celebrate St Patrick’s Day 2025 in Singapore.

Saint Patrick was a fifth-century missionary credited for converting the Irish to Christianity. Legend has it that he banished all snakes from Ireland after the reptiles attacked him, despite the lack of scientific evidence showing that snakes never existed in the country. The lack of serpents, however, did not stop Ireland from venerating Saint Patrick as their foremost spiritual guide after he passed away on 17 March. The day is also a public holiday in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and parts of Canada.

While Singapore does not officially commemorate St. Patrick’s Day – it refuses even to proclaim Thaipusam, a festival widely celebrated by local Indians, as a national holiday – many venues are organising their own St Patrick’s Day 2025 parties. The biggest is the Guinness St Patrick’s Day Street Festival. Happening at Boat Quay, expect rivers of Ireland’s most famous stout, music, and plenty of revelry. The St Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl also starts from here. The tour takes partygoers to four Irish-themed venues with a complimentary drink or shot at each stop.

At Muddy Murphy’s Irish Pub, the institution gives back to society with a charity lunch, free pints of Guinness, and an oyster opening competition. Kanpai Group has deals on fresh oysters, rack of lamb, and stout across its various dining establishments. Alternatively, head to Black Tap for its Irish-American-inspired reuben burger and green beer. Discover them below.

Throughout March, Black Tap brings back the popular reuben burger (S$29++). It nods to Irish American cuisine with a prime beef patty, griddled corn beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, pickles, and Black Tap’s special sauce between two potato buns. Add to the festivities with the Emerald Isle lager (S$18++). The crisp and refreshing beer is dyed green using spirulina to recall the lush fields of Ireland.
