Amid the ongoing Labubu craze, POPMART is dropping a new “Wacky Mart” collection as part of its THE MONSTERS series by Kasing Lung. Revealed as one of the mystery box offerings is a furry Labubu dressed as a shrimp tempura collectible.
Also shown in the sneak peek are other convenience store food items, including corn, sardines, Hanami Dango (chewy rice balls), Labubu milk, onigiri, squid, juice, and crisps.
Labubu, the mischievous fox-like character from Kasing Lung’s “The Monsters,” has captivated collectors globally since its 2015 debut. Known for its toothy grin and playful antics within a rich universe alongside characters like Tycoco and Zimomo, Labubu’s appeal stems from its distinctive design, endearing personality, and Kasing Lung’s exceptional craftsmanship. Collectors value the intricate limited-edition figures as both art pieces and connections to a global enthusiast community.
