Digital finance platform GCash celebrated moms, daughters and families just before Mother’s Day with an exclusive screening of “The Devil Wears Prada 2” at Glorietta 4 Cinema 3.
Held under GSocials, the event gathered members of the GCash community for an evening centered on style, ambition and appreciation for mothers who balance work, family and their personal passions.
Guests were welcomed with themed activities, including a DIY bouquet station, Polaroid photo booths and curated treats inside the cinema, creating what attendees described as a special and relaxing Mother’s Day experience.
The event also highlighted themes of ambition and resilience reflected in the much-anticipated sequel, drawing parallels with the everyday lives of modern mothers.
“‘Devil Wears Prada 2,’ for us, we see it as a story of growth, ambition and the hustle of work,” GCash brand PR manager Ecks Abitona said during the event.
She said the film also reflects the “next-level effort” mothers put into their daily lives, both professionally and personally.
“They are so often the silent force behind every big win. At GCash, we want to match that dedication by elevating your own experiences,” she added.
The executive also introduced GCash’s “Tap It, Win It” campaign in partnership with Ayala Malls, encouraging customers to use GCash Tap to Pay while shopping and dining at select Ayala malls.
Under the promo, customers who spend at least P350 using the feature until June 21 will get a chance to win prizes, including a hybrid BYD Seal 5 DM-i and up to P100,000 in cash credits.
The screening formed part of GCash’s broader Mother’s Day campaign recognizing women who continue to lead, nurture and inspire both at home and in the workplace.
