The Abhilashi Group of Institutions celebrated 25 glorious years of excellence in education with a grand silver jubilee event held at Nerchowk in Mandi district on Thursday. The historic occasion was marked by colourful tableaux while students, faculty members, alumni and experts from various fields participated with enthusiasm.
The celebrations commenced with the flagging off of an impressive tableau procession by Chairman RK Abhilashi, Managing Director LK Abhilashi and the central knowledge preacher of Sant Nirankari Mandal, Mahatma Hakum Chand, along with other distinguished guests. The procession started from the Abhilashi College of Pharmacy and culminated at the Abhilashi College of Education, where a grand formal ceremony was organised.
The Managing Director termed the 25-year journey of the group as one of the greatest achievements of his life. He said that the vision of his father, TR Abhilashi, to promote holistic regional development through education had now been realised. He added that the institution would continue striving for greater heights in the future.
The Chairman said, “Education is the strongest medium for social welfare. Students from over 18 states are currently studying in our institutions. Honesty, dedication and hard work are important and students should follow these values for achieving success in life.”
RK Abhilashi announced the establishment of the “TR Abhilashi Foundation” for the welfare of underprivileged sections of society. He also revealed plans to set up a multi-speciality hospital in the future.
Several alumni of the institution were honoured at the event for bringing laurels to the state and the nation.
