AC Milan hero Serginho insists they overachieved last season.
The Brazilian says Milan can be proud to have reached the Champions League semifinals.
He said on Carlo Pellegatti's YouTube channel: "Not even the most faithful fans could have imagined that this Milan would manage to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League. Because there are teams in Europe more prepared and more mature.
"But it was a great satisfaction. Football gives you this magic. Like no one believed that Inter could reach the final.
"Would (Carlo) Ancelotti's Milan beat (Manchester) City? We were a team prepared to win. We were winning everywhere, we were a great team. Theo? I like him a lot. He has this great strength, he is a great player and, like me, he has this love of playing up front. We're very similar in that sense."
