AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud has ruled out a return to Ligue 1 in the future.
Giroud was speaking ahead of their Europa League round 16 clash with Rennes.
He told Ouest-France: "I have always appreciated (Francois) Pinault (owner of Rennes), we were also neighbours for a period in London and our wives also got along well.
"In the past there was an interest from Rennes and for me it is always a pleasure to notice this sympathy that I gather in France.
"I love Brittany, but at the moment returning there is not in my plans."
