AC Milan striker Rafael Leao has again admitted surprise at Sandro Tonali's departure.
The former Milan midfielder left for Newcastle this month in an 80m deal.
Leao said: "I didn't expect it, but the club decided that way.
"Sandro is a Milan supporter, he helped us a lot for the Scudetto. Now I wish him the best for the future."
Leao also commented on former director Paolo Maldini's sacking.
"It was a surprise, I came to Milan also because he had called me. He was important for me, both on and off the pitch."
