Fresh off Intel lifting the lid on their Arc G-Series of processors for gaming handhelds, Acer has now announced the Predator Atlas 8. This is their new gaming handheld unveiled ahead of Computex 2026, and is set to rival the likes of the AMD-powered ROG Xbox Ally X.
The Predator Atlas 8 seems to be following the ROG Xbox Ally series playbook, with a base model packing the Intel Arc G3 while a higher end model will come with an Intel Arc G3 Extreme instead. The base Arc G3 comes with Intel Arc B370 graphics of course, while the Arc G3 Extreme gets the more powerful Arc B390 graphics instead.
On top of that, the base model will likely come with a 60Wh battery too, with the higher end model getting an 80Wh battery instead. There’s no word on specific storage and memory configurations just yet, but we do know the Predator Atlas 8 will top out at 24GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to a 1TB SSD. A pair of fans meanwhile keeps it all cool under the hood.

Regardless of which configuration you end up with, you will get an 8-inch IPS display pushing a WUXGA resolution in a 16:10 aspect ratio, with an up to 120Hz refresh rate, full coverage of the sRGB colour gamut, a peak brightness of 500nits and support for variable refresh rates. The touchscreen will also come with a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus and Gorilla Glass DXC over it.

As for controls and input, you’ll find ABXY buttons, a D-pad, analog joysticks (though unfortunately not hall effect), an XBOX Game Bar widget button, a PredatorSense key, bumpers and hall effect triggers, macro keys, adjustable triggers, volume keys and a power button with a fingerprint sensor.
Other features of note include a pair of 2W speakers, onboard mics, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a microSD card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack and support for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connectivity.

Unfortunately for those looking to get their hands on the Predator Atlas 8, Acer says that their new handheld will only be hitting stores from October onwards. Even then, it might not make it to Malaysia just yet, as they plan to first launch in North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Australia first. Nevertheless, stay tuned for more on the Predator Atlas 8 if and when it does become available here in Malaysia.
