Intel has finally confirmed the oft-rumoured Arc G-Series of processors, just in time for Computex coming up. These new processors are designed with handheld gaming in mind, just like the AMD Ryzen Z-series, and are built on the Panther Lake architecture already seen in their Core Ultra Series 3 processors.
There will be two processors at launch, namely the Intel Arc G3 and the Intel Arc G3 Extreme. According to Intel, what makes them purpose-built for handheld gaming is that they’ve been optimised for not jjust performance but also power efficiency. Both the Arc G3 and the Arc G3 Extreme will come with two P-cores, eight E-cores and four more LP-E-cores, though the Arc G3 Extreme will get a slightly higher boost speed.

You’ll also find up to an Intel Arc B390 integrated graphics on the Arc G3 Extreme and an Arc B710 integrated graphics on the Arc G3. They come with features such as ray tracing and XeSS 3 that bring Xess Super Resolution, XeSS Multi-Frame Generation and Xe Low Latency to Intel-powered handhelds. Both Arc G3 and Arc G3 Extreme will also support up to 96GB of LPDDR5X memory, and can be configured to run between 8W to 35W.
Other features of note include support for XBOX Mode, Intel Precompiled Shaders for faster game launches on supported titles as well as integrated WiFi 7 R2, dual Bluetooth 6 and Thunderbolt 4 with support for Thunderbolt Share.
Intel says you can expect more details on the Intel Arc G-Series at Computex 2026. You can also expect to see their OEM partners such as from Acer and MSI announce their own Arc G-Series powered handheld gaming devices very soon.
