A LOCAL actress and her husband have been detained again by police as investigators expand a probe into an alleged investment fraud linked to the sale of cattle.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the couple were arrested by the Commercial Crime Investigation Division of the Dang Wangi district police headquarters.

"For your information, regarding the actress and her husband, they were arrested by the Commercial Crime Investigation Division of Dang Wangi police headquarters in relation to an investment scheme involving the sale of cattle.

"Both suspects will be brought to court today for a remand application," he said in a brief statement issued early on Monday.

The latest arrest comes as authorities continue examining several alleged fraud cases linked to the couple.

Earlier reports indicated that the actress and her husband, who had previously been detained over an alleged land grant sales scam, were also being investigated in connection with a separate case involving a fraudulent award or honorary title scheme that resulted in losses of about RM23,000.

Seremban district police chief Assistant Commissioner Azahar Abdul Rahim said police there received a report regarding that case on Dec 18 last year.

The actress had earlier been arrested at a hiding place in a tahfiz religious school along Jalan Kuari Sungai Long, Batu 11, Kampung Sungai Serai in Hulu Langat.

According to Azahar, the arrest followed a police report filed by a 56-year-old businessman who claimed he had been deceived in a deal involving the sale of land grant lots in Selangor, suffering losses of about RM1.5 million.

Separately, a beauty product entrepreneur has also alleged she was defrauded by the actress and her husband, claiming losses amounting to hundreds of thousands of ringgit. - March 9, 2026
