Actress Puteri Balqis Azizi set social media abuzz after a clip of her talking about the abuse she suffered at the hands of her father made its rounds.
The snippet, which was part of an hour long interview with a podcast channel called Walk The Talk, detailed some shocking revelations that robbed her childhood years, one of it being exposed to pornographic material at five years old by her father.
“Those times when I went out with him to eat a mamak restaurant, he would put on a pornographic video on speaker for others to watch with him, and he would laugh as though he was watching cartoon.
“He would make me watch it too.
“This typically happens when there are no customers, and the staff are getting ready to close down the eatery.
She then shared that her father would touch himself inappropriately infront of her and her mother despite the circumstances.
She claimed that he would also enter the bathroom while she showers.
“He would manipulate the story because he put on an angelic facade, from his facial expression to his attitude, people would not know that he kissed and touched me in appropriately,” she revealed.
The bad news did not stop at that when Puteri Balqis also revealed that she and her mother would be beaten if they asked the father to teach them to read the Quran.
It is reported that Puteri Balqis has cut ties with her father.
Back in February, she released a statement in regards to her father not being involved in her life anymore.
"Dad disappeared for a long time, the last time I was in contact with him was when I was 10 or 11 years old.
"We are not in touch and I want it to stay that way because when he is not here, I feel better,” she told local news media.
Puteri Balqis used to star several dramas and movies such as Akulah Balqis and KL Special Force as well as winning the trophy for the best female actress in the 2014 Drama Anugerah Skrin award when she was only seven years old.
