Tuaran: The Jalur Gemilang Merdeka Campaign (KMJG) programme is a good initiative in reviving the sense of independence in the hearts of the people of Sabah in particular.

Executive Chairman of Innoprise Corporation Sdn Bhd, Datuk Jasnih Daya said the KMJG hopes the yearly celebration will be livelier this year.

“Last year I also remember it was quite lively, this year we hope it will be livelier in conjunction with Sabah Day.

“We are proud because this year we are celebrating Sabah Day for the first time this month,” the Pantai Dalit Assemblyman said when met by the media after inaugurating the KMJG Program at the town Pavilion here.

He reminded every level of society, government or private, to fly the Gemilang Jalur and Sabah Flag.

“Every year we hope that every resident or tenant fly the flags in their respective houses or buildings regardless of whether it is government or private.

“The spirit of love for the country needs to exist and every resident living in Malaysia should not necessarily be a Malaysian.

“Even foreigners can wave the Jalur Gemilang and the Sabah flag so that we can feel the atmosphere of independence and further appreciate the value of independence,” he added.

Also present were Assistant District Officer Hannevy W Harry and Sabah Information Director who is also the leader of the convoy, Jainisa Mohd Noor.
