Additional allocation for Kelantan will be announced tonight - Anwar

KOTA BHARU - The unity government will provide additional allocation for Kelantan in its efforts to improve the facilities in the state.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the allocation involved development projects that wweremuch bigger compared to the Madani Budget previously.

"The matter would be announced tonight at the Malaysia Madani Eid Open House Ceremony," he said while delivering his speech at the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) First Station Construction Launching Ceremony in Bandar Baru Tunjong here on Friday.

Also present were Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob, Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook, Malaysia Rail Link (MRL) Sdn Bhd chairman Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali and MRL CEO Datuk Sri Darwish Abdul Razak as well as China Communication Construction Company Ltd (CCCC) Executive Director Lui Hui.

He said the project was expected to aid the Kelantan government to not be left behind in terms of development compared to other states.

He said the announcement will be good news for the people of Kelantan
