
Kota Kinabalu: Newly crowned Mr Sabah Affan Afandy Razali will lead the State contingent in search of two gold medals at the 54th Mr Malaysia Bodybuilding Championship in Pahang from September 25-29.
He has just lifted the Champions of Champion title as well as the Middleweight and the Men’s Athletic Physique (above 170cm) at the State Bodybuilding Championship held in Tuaran over the weekend.
Sabah Bodybuilding Association (SBBA) president Clarence Runggi said they are also hoping to get two silvers and one bronze from the 10-member squad.

“Our best medal contenders are Rozally, Grace, Affan, Asraf, Tony and we also hope the rest of the bodybuilders in the team will make the top five,” he said.
Meanwhile, Malaysian Bodybuilding Federation (MBBF) vice president and SBBA advisor Joannes Staneslous has been named team manager and other officials are coach Jeffery Thaddeus and judge Alik Makim while SBBA secretary Diana Anthony Siau is also with the team to attend MBBF Annual General Meeting on August 29.
