Barcelona sporting director Deco met with Haaland's agents Rafaela Pimenta and Maxwell on Wednesday evening.
The parties discussed, among other things, a possible transfer for Haaland, but other players are also said to have been up for discussion.
Deco and the agents are said to have set a date for a meeting when Haaland's family will also present.
The 23-year-old's contract with Manchester City runs until the summer of 2027.
