
Tuaran: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor contributed 147 cows to mosques, suraus, government departments and agencies as well as non-governmental organisations (NGOs) for Hari Raya Aidiladha this year.
The Sulaman Assemblyman handed over the cows to the recipients in a ceremony held at At-Taubah Mosque in Kampung Lok Batik, here, Wednesday.
The recipients are 34 mosques and 27 suraus in Tuaran and Tamparuli, as well as 12 government agencies and 14 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in Tuaran and Tamparuli.
Among them are the Lok Kawi Army Headquarters, Sabah Immigration Department (Papar Immigration Detention Depot), Sabah Road Transport Department (JPJ), Sabah Prisons Department, State Rela Training Centre, State Intan Campus, State Fire and Rescue Department (Academy), Sabah Contingent Police Headquarters, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and Tuaran District Police Headquarters.
