Kota Kinabalu: Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) national President Datuk Tan Kok Liang proposed that all national carriers offer festive season travel airfares capped at 1.2 times the average price for destinations within Malaysia so as not to burden Malaysians.
He was referring to Daily Express reports on “MYAirline to make Kota Kinabalu its Second Hub” and “Flight fares painful once more nearing Hari Raya”.
Tan said: “It is not a matter of booking early, or mounting more flights, or due to dynamic pricing as claimed by past or current federal ministers of transportation.
