AKSIPS-41 Smart School, Chandigarh, held a plastic waste collection drive and awareness rally. More than 350 students collected over 100 kg of plastic waste from Sector 41. The event opened with a poem recitation, “Dharti Ka Dard”, highlighting the hazards of plastic waste, followed by a student rally featuring anti-plastic slogans. Garima, CSR Executive Head, Bisleri International Pvt Ltd, conducted a special awareness session on plastic recycling and responsible disposal. Students also distributed handmade paper bags to shopkeepers. Director Jasdeep Kalra and Principal Ritu Bali lauded the initiative, reaffirming the school’s mission of becoming a zero single-use plastic campus. The collected waste was handed over to the Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh, for recycling.
