Al-Ettifaq coach Steven Gerrard has declared his squad not good enough.
The Liverpool legend is under pressure with Al-Ettifaq sitting mid-table on the Saudi Pro League table.
Gerrard concedes they need to be "ruthless" with their transfer plans in January: "We must demonstrate in this winter window, and also in the summer one, that we are serious and want to be competitive at the top of the championship and not where we are now.
"We hope that we can make significant changes to the team and the group and that at the end of January we will see a different, stronger and more competitive team.
"We have to be ruthless and make a lot of changes to make this team more competitive."
