With the cold and raining weather settling in for the reason, Aldi has announced the return of its £45 dehumidifier. Dehumidifiers of this size (it has a 2.2l capacity) can cost as much as £70, so a saving of more than £25 certainly isn’t to be snuffed at.
Aldi is renowned for its budget alternatives, be it a Dyson-inspired vacuum cleaner or a Ninja-rivalling air fryer. In the world of dehumidifiers, the front runners for this size of unit are Russell Hobbs, Daewoo and Lakeland, so I’ve no doubt the German supermarket has taken a few design titbits from these industry-leading makers.
As for the key details, the Ambiano dehumidifier will be launching in stores on Sunday 18 October and, if it’s anything like Aldi’s previous budget drops (specifically, the reformer pilates machine), you’ll want to be queuing up for doors open at 10.00am. Here’s everything we know so far.

Ambiano dehumidifier
Aldi’s Ambiano dehumidifier will sit within the supermarket’s famed Specialbuys aisle and is estimated to cost just 3p an hour to run. It’s undoubtedly a more compact dehumidifier than most with a 2.2l capacity, but it also boasts a 24-hour timer, a 10-colour night light and overheat protection for ease of mind. Launching this Sunday 18 October, the appliance is sure to fly off shelves.

Daewoo 700ml dehumidifier
This Daewoo dehumidifier actually costs less than Aldi’s, but that makes sense with a capacity of less than 1l. Described by Joanne Lewsley as “a smart choice for tackling moisture in small spaces,” she dubbed it a good option for anyone with musty cupboards, campervans and condensation-heavy windows.
