Liverpool hero John Aldridge can see Brighton breaking into the top four this season.
Aldridge wrote for the Sunday World: "As I try to pick the teams that will finish in the Premier League's top four this season, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool have to be on my list along with a team that are increasingly impossible to ignore.
"There could be five English sides in next season's Champions League, with the competition set to expand to a 36-team format in 2024 and the final make-up of the extra clubs decided only at the end of this campaign.
"For now, a top-four finish is the only way to secure a place in Europe's biggest competition and little Brighton have every chance to be on that list.
"Manchester United have made a horrible start to the season and Newcastle appear to be lacking the consistency that got them into the top four last time, so the opening is there for the chasing pack to get in the mix and it would be amazing to see Brighton in the Champions League.
"On so many levels, Brighton are serving up the biggest fairytale in the Premier League on and off the pitch."
