MANILA, Philippines — For the first time in her career, Alex Eala will enter a Grand Slam event as a seeded player—at her favorite tournament, Wimbledon.
Based on the provisional list, Eala is seeded 29th due to her strong position in the WTA rankings. She is currently ranked No. 35 in the official list but is expected to rise to No. 30 when the updated rankings are released on Monday.
Leading the seedings is world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka followed by Elena Rybakina, Iga Świątek, Jessica Pegula, Mirra Andreeva, Amanda Anisimova, Coco Gauff, Elina Svitolina, Karolína Muchová, and Belinda Bencic.
Meanwhile, Victoria Mboko and Hailey Baptiste are not on the list as both are recovering from injuries. TMT
