Filipino tennis ace Alex Eala secured a prize money of €46,080 or more than P3.2 million for reaching the third round at the WTA 1000 Italian Open in Rome Friday evening (Manila time).
World No. 42 Eala defeated No. 33 Wang Xinyu of China in the round-of-64, 6-4, 6-3, to advance.
Eala will upgrade her prize money to €79,510 or P5.6 million if she makes the round of 16.
