Alex Pereira was there to support his sister as she made her debut on Saturday night.
Aline Pereira appeared on the undercard of the first Most Valuable Promotions MMA event streamed on Netflix, fighting early in the evening against Jade Masson-Wong.
And Aline wasn’t the only member of her family involved. Her brother was also in attendance at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood.
Aline Pereira picked up a split decision win at MVP MMA 1, with Alex getting animated in her corner

She had her brother, the former UFC light heavyweight and middleweight champion, in her corner.
He was there for his sister’s fifth pro bout, hoping to help her make the most of Netflix’s debut into live MMA. Heading into Saturday night, she was 2-2 as a professional, having last picked up a win over Nejra Repp under the LFA banner.
That victory had continued a pattern of alternating wins and losses. But now, following MVP MMA 1, she can finally call it back-to-back victories.
Pereira came away with a split-decision win over Masson-Wong on Netflix after three closely contested rounds. And it wasn’t just Aline who brought energy to the cage.
Guiding her from cageside was ‘Poatan’, who was visibly more animated than fans are used to seeing him. The Netflix Sports account on X even posted footage showing just how invested he was throughout the fight.
Pereira also boasts an undefeated record inside Karate Combat’s ‘Pit’. Last July, she captured gold by beating Fani Peloumpi to become the first-ever women’s flyweight champion for the promotion while extending her promotional record to 3-0.
