Alison Hammond shares hospital bed update after leaving This Morning mid-show

Alison Hammond shared an update from a hospital bed after leaving This Morning during its live broadcast on Friday, 2 October, due to illness.

The TV host, 51, posted an Instagram story wearing a hospital gown, explaining that she was getting her heart checked.

“I had a little bit of a palpitation, and now I'm getting it all checked out, but I think I'm okay. I'm hoping it was just a little panic attack or something like that,” she said.

Co-host Dermot O'Leary, 53, announced Hammond had to leave the broadcast when the show came back from an advert break, saying: “Welcome back to This Morning. Alison is feeling a little unwell, so she’s just had to duck out.”
