DJI Malaysia has announced the launch of its latest Osmo 360 II flagship 360° camera. Here’s a quick look at what it has to offer.
Featuring a 1-inch square HDR image sensor with 14.5 stops of dynamic range, the DJI Osmo 360 II offers improved sensor utilization and lower power consumption while capturing clearer footage in both daylight and low-light conditions. Its AI SuperNight 2.0 noise-reduction algorithm further enhances low-light shots, while the large 2.4μm pixels and high-performance chip support 8K/60fps 360° video with reduced motion blur.
For easier shooting and editing, the Osmo 360 II and DJI Mimo app offer intelligent subject tracking through Spotlight Follow, which keeps subjects centred as the camera rotates, along with NFC connectivity for quick pairing, file transfers, and access to editing tools. Professional users can also import 360° footage into DaVinci Resolve through the DJI Studio plugin.
Furthermore, the camera uses replaceable lenses with ultra-hard optical film for improved scratch and wear resistance, weighs 183g, and comes with 105GB of built-in storage. Battery-wise, it delivers up to 100 minutes of continuous 8K/30fps recording and can reach 80% charge in 22 minutes, while the Battery Extension Rod adds up to 180 minutes of runtime.
Audio is handled by a four-mic array with wind-noise reduction and support for direct connections to compatible DJI Mic models via OsmoAudio. The dual-direction quick-release system also enables magnetic mounting on either side and supports 1/4-inch threaded accessories for more shooting configurations.
