Singer Taylor Swift is poised to marry NFL star Travis Kelce this Friday at New York’s Madison Square Garden, an event already generating immense buzz.
With Swift renowned for her spectacular and numerous costume changes throughout her record-breaking Eras world tour, anticipation is mounting over which esteemed designer will craft her wedding gown – or perhaps a series of gowns.
A formidable contender is Oscar de la Renta, a fashion house with whom Swift shares a profound and long-standing relationship, having been behind some of her most significant and memorable fashion moments.
Her recent appearances include a dazzling yellow sequined gown for her "I Knew It, I Knew You" performance at the Toy Story 5 premiere, a vibrant sequin bodysuit during the Eras Tour, and a custom blue quilted floral gown for her concert movie premiere. The brand also dressed her for the 2014 Met Gala.

Italian brand Alberta Ferretti, responsible for Swift's ethereal "folklore" dresses during the Eras tour, presents another intriguing possibility.
Her choice of a custom tea-stained gown in The Fate Of Ophelia music video strongly suggests she might opt for a lighter, more romantic, and ethereal aesthetic for her nuptials.
Vivienne Westwood is also firmly in the running, especially after Swift showcased several of their distinctive designs during the 2024 European leg of her Eras tour. A particularly striking piece was a couture draped corseted white gown emblazoned with the poignant lyrics "I love you, it’s ruining my life" from her single "Fortnight," igniting fervent "bridal rock" rumors.
For a potentially shorter and more glittering after-party ensemble, Roberto Cavalli, a long-time collaborator who designed many of her bejeweled world tour costumes – including a show-stopping pink co-ord adorned with Swarovski crystals for opening night – could be the perfect choice.
Givenchy enters the high-fashion conversation, with Swift recently wearing a custom black satin bustier floral dress by the French luxury brand for her induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Notably, creative director Sarah Burton also designed the Princess of Wales’s iconic 2011 Alexander McQueen bridal look, leading many to compare the upcoming Swift-Kelce wedding to a "US royal wedding."
British designer Stella McCartney remains a distinct possibility, given her previous collaboration with Swift on a 2019 line inspired by the album Lover. Swift even directly references the designer in her track "London Boy": "Stick with me, I’m your queen. Like a Tennessee Stella McCartney," underscoring their creative bond.
As the world watches, the choice of designer will undoubtedly mark another iconic fashion moment for the global superstar.
