With Easter Sunday just a few days away, it’s time to lay out your plans for the weekend – top of the list, what food you’ll be eating. The hallmarks of the springtime holiday have arrived: weather warming up, days becoming longer, and the seasonal delights from the best hot cross buns to the best Easter eggs springing up on our supermarket shelves.
Whether you’re organising a full Easter spread or just making a last-minute dash for chocolate eggs, it’s worth checking supermarket hours before you head out. The bank holiday weekend often means reduced or altered opening times, and there’s nothing worse than arriving to find the shutters down.
To help you plan ahead, we’ve pulled together the latest Easter opening hours for the UK’s biggest supermarkets, covering Good Friday through to Easter Monday. Do keep in mind that times can differ between stores, particularly smaller convenience branches, so it’s always best to check your nearest shop before making the trip.
