Bridgerton season four saw its release on Netflix yesterday (29 January 2026), and naturally, we binged it the day it dropped. For writing purposes, of course. We had plenty of thoughts, with some serving as commentary and others signifying disappointment. Here’s what ran through our heads while watching the fourth season of the period drama.
This season centres on the Cinderella-inspired romance between Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha) and Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson), with the first four episodes now streaming and the remaining quartet scheduled to release on 26 February 2026.

- Come on, Sophie, just seize the opportunity already.
- …A cottage? That is an extremely generous use of the word, Benedict.
- If only the real-life job market worked like the Great Maid War.
- Season four has been rather unexciting so far.
- It’s diabolical that Benedict still doesn’t recognise Sophie simply because she’s dressed differently.
- The lady in silver is literally the lady in your home, Benedict.
- The true diamond of the season? Lady Bridgerton. She looks exquisite.
- ‘Does one not crave something a little bit more thrilling?’ My thoughts exactly while watching this season, Lady Whistledown.
