So, if you thought the golden period in Indian streaming is over… well, you might just be right. The rest of the 2025 web series lineup is likely to outdo itself, though, offering a series of thrillers and dramas to cater for your weekend watchlist. 2025 web series in India promise the whole shebang: courtroom battles, small-town crime, political machinations, and a little bit of retro gambling via Matka King. Let’s jump into the list of upcoming web series in 2025.

This year, web series seem less interested in playing safe and more in playing god. The 2025 web series calendar is stacked with morally murky tales and stories that bleed into real life — quite literally in the case of The Ba**ds of Bollywood. Meanwhile, streaming giants like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are doubling down on Indian originals as they clearly sense that the audience is hungry for binge-worthy content. Whether it’s the return of cult favourites (like murder mystery series Kohrra season 2) or fresh drops with provocative titles (like Rangeen), these new web series in 2025 entries are itching to make headlines.

There has been a subtle shift in Indian web space towards realism, albeit the gritty kind. Several upcoming web series in 2025 have taken cues from Indian social currents: systemic rot, the dark underbelly of fame, fractured justice. Mandala Murders, starring Vaani Kapoor, is one of those series that take it up several notches and invite you into a world where truth is stranger and bloodier than fiction.
