KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Education has announced an automatic offer of places in the 2026/2027 Matriculation Programme to all 6,717 candidates who achieved 10As and above in the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examination.
This merit-based offer is extended to all eligible candidates who applied for the programme, regardless of their race or background.
The ministry clarified in a statement that the 90% Bumiputera admission quota for the Matriculation programme remains unchanged and unaffected by this new initiative.
It stated that the move aims to ensure the nation’s top academic performers are given the opportunity to pursue higher education in a structured environment.
