MANILA, Philippines — Former Bangsamoro parliament member Edrieza Rimbang on Friday took to social media to deny any involvement in the P3.5 billion Philippine-bound drug shipment from Laos
Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla identified Rimbang as the supposed financier of the private plane chartered to bring the 521 kilos of shabu (crystal meth) into the Philippines.
He was also initially reported to have possibly sneaked out of the country through backdoor exits in Mindanao.
The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) also said Rimbang, who is considered as a person of interest on the case, had fictitious addresses.
