A night of timeless music and generosity reached a memorable high when a guitar bearing the signatures of legendary Malaysian band Alleycats was auctioned for charity, fetching a winning bid of RM5,000 at the Gig for Good Masterclass Music Festival 2026, organised by Gig for Good in collaboration with PIKOM Academy and Musicians for Musicians(MfM).

The spirited bidding, which started at RM1,000, saw the signed guitar go to a female bidder who received the memorabilia on stage, turning the moment into one of the evening’s most heartwarming highlights.
The auction followed a special appearance by Alleycats, who brought their unmistakable energy and nostalgia to a packed hall with a 30-minute performance that had attendees singing along to their timeless hits.

For many in the audience, the performance was a chance to reconnect with the music of a band that has been part of Malaysia’s cultural landscape for decades, reflecting the enduring appeal of the iconic group.
Organised by The National Tech Association of Malaysia (PIKOM) through PIKOM Academy, in collaboration with Gig for Good and Musicians for Musicians (MfM), the festival held from July 24 to 26 explored the intersection between artificial intelligence, creativity and human potential.

In a first-of-its-kind approach, PIKOM incorporated a live music experience into an AI-focused festival, highlighting how technology and creativity can come together to inspire new ways of learning, connecting and expressing ideas.
The event showcased that while AI continues to reshape industries and the future of work, human emotions, imagination and collaboration remain central to innovation. The charity auction further reinforced this message, with the signed guitar becoming more than just a keepsake but a symbol of giving, community and the enduring power of music to bring people together.
With a full house, an unforgettable performance and a meaningful charity contribution, the evening demonstrated that even in an era driven by artificial intelligence, human experiences continue to create the strongest connections.
