- Andria Vidler, chief executive of National Lottery operator Allwyn UK, is stepping down after leading what the firm termed a "long-overdue transformation".
- Former William Hill executive Phil Walker will replace her on an interim basis from 7 September.
- Ms Vidler said: “Transforming the National Lottery is a marathon, not a sprint, and with the major transition now complete, and the National Lottery in a stronger position to keep delivering for the nation, this feels like the right moment for me to pass on the baton.”
- Allywn completed a £450 million major tech upgrade to the lottery this year, which involved moving 18 million player records and more than three billion historical transactions from old platforms to new ones.
- Allwyn chairman Justin King said: “Since Andria joined us, she has led from the front through an intense period of change, helping to complete the much-needed and long-overdue transformation of the National Lottery.
