Aston Villa boss Unai Emery is adding Alvaro Benito to his staff.
Benito, a former sports director of Almera and Antonio Cordn's No2 at Real Betis, has already informed Betis of his intention to leave, says Marca.
His destination will be Aston Villa, where he will work again with Emery. The pair previously were together at Almeria.
Benito will work as a new scout at Villa.
He was facing a likely release from Betis after former sporting director Cordon's departure earlier this year.
