The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) is set to bring one of cinema’s greatest musical tributes to life as it presents Amadeus in Concert — a special screening of the multi-Academy Award®-winning 1984 film accompanied by a full live orchestral performance.
The event will take place on Saturday, 10 January 2026 at 8pm at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP), KLCC.
Music And Motion

A sweeping period drama and a celebration of pure musical genius, Amadeus remains one of cinema’s most admired achievements. The film won eight Academy Awards® in 1984, including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay.
Its story follows Vienna court composer Antonio Salieri, whose life is upended by the arrival of a young Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart — bawdy, brilliant, and possessing the divine musical talent Salieri has always coveted. Consumed by envy yet entranced by Mozart’s genius, Salieri begins a destructive campaign that shapes both their fates.
This rare cinematic-concert event offers a chance to experience the film exactly as its creators intended: with Mozart’s extraordinary music performed live by one of the region’s leading orchestras.
Tickets for Amadeus in Concert at the DFP are priced at RM399, RM449, RM499, RM549, and suite seats at RM599 and RM649. For bookings, visit mpo.com.my.
