Luxury hospitality brand Aman has unveiled plans for Amancaya, a new ultra-luxury resort and residence project in Exuma, The Bahamas. Marking Aman’s debut in the country, the development reflects the brand’s signature commitment to privacy, natural beauty, and exceptional service.
Set across two of Exuma’s most secluded private cays, Amancaya—meaning “peaceful island” in Taíno—will include a 36-pavilion Aman hotel and a limited number of fully serviced Aman Residences. The low-density retreat will be developed in partnership with Swiss investor and philanthropist Dona Bertarelli, and will offer world-class amenities including a marina, Beach Club, Aman Spa, and diverse dining venues.

Vlad Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman Group, called the move a “significant milestone,” highlighting the high demand among Aman guests for a Bahamian destination. “We’ve found an unrivalled setting for exclusivity and natural beauty,” Doronin said, emphasizing Aman’s ethos of privacy, service, and transformative experiences.
Bertarelli echoed the sentiment, noting that guests will be immersed in Exuma’s natural beauty while forming meaningful connections with local culture and community.
In line with Aman’s global commitment to environmental stewardship, Amancaya aims to achieve LEED certification and aligns its development goals with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Currently under construction with Squircle Capital, Amancaya will be Aman’s third property in the Caribbean, joining Amanera in the Dominican Republic and Amanyara in Turks and Caicos. With this announcement, Aman continues to redefine luxury hospitality, creating spaces of seclusion, elegance, and well-being in some of the world’s most stunning settings.
