Amirudin confident in retaining Sungai Tua

SHAH ALAM - Caretaker Selangor Menteri Besar is confident that will retain the Sungai Tua state seat following the state polls today.

“Alhamdulillah, there are 11 more uncounted ballot boxes, Insyaallah I will be retaining the N16 Sungai Tua state seat.

“I thank all Sungai tua voters. I will give you my full service,” he said in a Facebook post.

In the state polls, Amirudin contested against Perikatan Nasional’s Hanif Jamaluddin of Bersatu and independent candidate Suman Gopal.

As of 9.20pm, Amirudin garnered 19,320 votes while Hanif obtained 14,075 votes.

Suman received a total of 429 votes.
