This is a good scam designed and developed by an 82-year-old man to teach the rude, impatient young people a lesson about courtesy.
I have made some editorial changes to add flavour to a story that came via WhatsApp. But I can not guarantee its authenticity.
He wrote recently. "I had to share this! I know I shouldn’t have done this, but I am 83 years old, and I deserve some respect.
"I was in the McDonald’s drive-through this morning, and the young lady behind me leaned on her horn and started mouthing something because I was taking too long to place my order.
"So when I got to the first window, I paid for her order along with my own.
"The cashier must have told her what I had done because as we moved up, she leaned out of her car window and waved to me and mouthed, "Thank you."
She was obviously embarrassed that I had repaid her rudeness with kindness."
What's the scam? He only paid for the food of a young lady who was giving him a hard time. Anyway, be patient and read on...
"When I got to the second window, I showed them both receipts and took her food too."
Now, that's a good scam. First you pay for the food. You make the lady happy. Then you scam her by not giving her food. Rudeness paid by kindness but not delivered as intended. That's scam no 1 by an old guy. But here's the real scam.
He continues. "Now she has to go back to the end of the queue and start all over again."
That's the real scam.
The moral of the story is, "Don't blow your horn at old people they have been around a long time." - Anon.
