Real Madrid midfielder Arda Guler is flying back to Spain.
The Turk has suffered a knee strain while with Real in preseason training in the US.
Real coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed the decision after defeat to Barcelona in Dallas.
He said, "Arda Gler has a knee problem and hopefully he can get it sorted out in Madrid. It was better for him to go to Madrid to follow an individual programme."
Ancelotti also delivered an update on Ferland Mendy.
"Ferland has a hamstring problem and we shall see what happens. He was very good and let's hope it's nothing serious."
