Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti says Arda Guler will soon feature in preseason.
The signing from Fenerbahce is yet to be seen in match action so far.
Discussing the fitness of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, Ancelotti said: "He's in a little bit of pain and it doesn't make sense to risk it.
"He'll play in the next game, like Arda Gler, who will play soon."
On the progress of new left-back Fran Garcia, Ancelotti was upbeat.
"He's doing very well. He pushes on a lot and gets into good crossing positions often. We're very happy."
