Villarreal earned a 1-1 draw at Europa Conference League opponents Anderlecht on Thursday night.
Manu Trigueros had the visitors ahead before Anders Dreyer struck for hosts Anderlecht as the round of 16 tie remains finely balanced.
Anderlecht coach Brian Riemer said afterwards: "I am very happy with my team's performance today. There's nothing for me to say. Naturally I am a bit disappointed that we didn't get the win as I feel we deserved it, but my players did everything I asked of them.
"Raman has been a little unlucky in the last couple of weeks, but he has shown that he is a big asset to our team.
"I like his intensity, the way he can accelerate... and with that you can hurt your opponent. We wanted a player today who could run in attack and defence."
