Andy Burnham fought back tears on Celebrity Gogglebox as he heard the story of a young father who died just a week after he was diagnosed with cancer.
The prime minister appeared on the popular reality show on Friday (23 October) as part of a special episode to raise money for Stand up to Cancer.
There, he heard the story of 41-year-old Will, who died a week after being diagnosed with bowel cancer. Heartbreakingly, he received a caner diagnosis at the same time as his partner, who later responded well to treatment.
Mr Burnham was visibly emotional as Will’s death was announced on the show.
