KOTA MARUDU: Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) Sabah, the youth wing of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) aims to field at least three young candidates in the 17th State Election (PRN 17) to ensure the voices of youth and rural communities are effectively represented in the State Legislative Assembly (DUN).
AMK State Chief, Zaidi Jatil said that this intention had been conveyed to the party’s leadership, including the Chairman of the State Leadership Council (MPN) and AMK at the national level.
“We want more young leaders to be part of the state’s leadership and to ensure their voices are heard.
“AMK also plays crucial check-and-balance role,” he said at the launch of the 157 Unification Team Manifesto, here, on Tuesday.
Zaidi, who is also contesting for the PKR Kota Marudu Division Chief position, emphasised that AMK is promoting a political approach based on ideals and values, rather than mere popularity, which is essential in shaping a stronger and more sustainable future for the party and the state.
Present was Acting Deputy Chief of PKR Kota Marudu Division, Datuk Seri George Rumunsai.
Sazalye Donol Abdullah, Jasmon Jaji, and Jolius Majawai will also be contesting for the top position in Kota Marudu.
