Kota Kinabalu: Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS) President Datuk Seri Anifah Aman is expected to be sworn in as a Senator at the Dewan Negara on Monday.
The former Foreign Minister, 69, was recently appointed by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor as Special Advisor on International Relations and Foreign Investments.
His appointment is believed to be on the recommendation of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is also Pakatan Harapan (PH) Chairman and PKR President. PCS did not contest in the 15th General Election last year and Anifah campaigned for PH candidates in Sabah.
A former Kimanis Member of Parliament, Anifah was formerly with Umno before resigning in September 2018 following the party's dismal showing in GE14.
