KOTA BHARU - Ketereh Youth Chief Afiq Amani, who is also the son of Tan Sri Annuar Musa, is not a candidate in the upcoming State Election on Aug 12.
According to sources, the confirmation thus denies that Afiq Amani will be named as a candidate.
"I can confirm here that BN (Barisan Nasional) Kelantan brings many new faces this time.
"Only four old candidates are retained for the State Assembly seats, namely Galas, Paloh, Nenggiri, and Bukit Bunga," the source said when contacted on Friday.
Sinar Harian previously reported that the Muafakat Nasional (MN) President hinted that he would not compete with his son Afiq Amani in the upcoming state election.
Afiq Amani is among the 155 names sent by Umno Kelantan to the central leadership to be considered as a candidate.
