Kota Kinabalu: Badminton Asia referees assessor Datuk Anthony Linggian is proud of his role to produce calibre badminton referees in the country.

The Sabah Badminton Association technical officials committee chairman was recently among the referee assessors who conducted a two-day badminton referees workshop organised by Johor Badminton Association at the Johor Sports Hub, Mount Austin, which attracted a total of 39 participants from Johor, Singapore, Perak and Sabah.

“I am proud to contribute my years of expertise starting as a line judge with BAM in 1992 to aspiring referees.

Anthony also revealed that he would be conducting another workshop in Perlis later this month with further invitations from Brunei and Wuhan, China.

Meanwhile, the closing ceremony of the workshop in Johor was officiated by Benny Lan Xue Zheng, chairman of Johor BA’s technical officials committee representing the president Dato’ Chong Juong Chin.
