
PRIME MINISTER Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim began his official one-day working visit to Pahang with Friday prayers alongside local residents, setting the tone for a programme centred on community engagement and youth outreach.
He arrived at Masjid Saidina Umar Al-Khattab at 1.15pm, where he was joined by Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail and received by several senior officials, including Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari, Deputy Economy Minister Datuk Mohd Shahar Abdullah and Political Secretary to the Prime Minister Ahmad Farhan Fauzi.
Following the prayers, Anwar, who also serves as Finance Minister, is scheduled to continue his visit with a stop at the MADANI Mart in Indera Mahkota before attending the Himpunan Anak Pahang MADANI gathering at the grounds of UTC Kuantan.
The event is expected to draw more than 7,000 young people from across the state, reflecting the government’s emphasis on strengthening engagement with youth communities.
The Prime Minister will conclude his visit in the evening with the official opening of the Kejuaraan Silat Piala PMX Pendekar MADANI 2026 at the Pahang Sports Complex, underscoring continued support for cultural and sporting initiatives. - April 3, 2026
