
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim starts a one-day Pahang visit with Friday prayers, a MADANI Mart inspection, and a major youth gathering.
KUANTAN: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim began a one-day working visit to Pahang today.
He performed Friday prayers with the congregation at the Saidina Umar Al-Khattab Mosque in Cenderawasih.
His arrival at 1.15 pm was alongside Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.
They were welcomed by Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari and other officials.
Also present was the Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.
Following prayers, Anwar is scheduled to visit a MADANI Mart outlet in Indera Mahkota.
He will then attend the Himpunan Anak Pahang MADANI gathering at the UTC Kuantan compound.
The event is expected to draw over 7,000 young people from across the state.
The Prime Minister will conclude his visit by officiating the 2026 PMX Pendekar MADANI Cup Silat Championship.
The championship will be held at the Pahang Sports Complex (SUKPA) this evening.
